Thank you so much for all the wonderful birthday wishes. I appreciate your making my 12th birthday extra special. I didn't write a diary entry on my birthday because I wanted cats who visited my diary to see the entry I wrote about Harrison. We are all still purring for a good solution for him!
Now, on to something else I feel compelled to vent about! For those of you who don't know, Hazel Lucy has left Catster. Mazie's page is still around, so you can visit her, but HL is no longer around.
I have written more than one diary entry about my dislike and sadness when a cat decides to leave Catster. I totally don't agree or understand why the page can't be left in place even if the owner never plans to visit Catster.
I will once again state my reasons in hopes that none of you will up and leave and delete your account.
1. It costs you nothing to keep your page.
2. You have history on your page - this is the big one for me. Your Mom/Dad has invested a lot in documenting your life through your diary and your photos . . . . as well as diary comments, forum threads, rosette gifts, etc. If you had health issues, your vet visits that were documented through your diary entries help out other cats who may in the future go through a similar problem.
3. Your friends. Think about all the love you have received through rosettes, special gifts, special pictures created by pals, diary comments, parties you've attended, etc. Do those friendships now not mean anything to you?
4. The Love. As painful as it can be to visit your own page if you've become an angel, think about other cats who get enjoyment, pleasure, encouragement, and inspiration by viewing your pictures. Can you imagine Calvin not being here anymore? Sure, we cry when we go to his page, but we could never delete his page because of the love and support we received from all of you when he made his journey to the bridge.
Catster without Rocky Ann or Mercy, or Taz? Unthinkable - and so glad they are here and aren't going away!
Catster without Hazel Lucy, Margo RKN, Karma Kitty and family, Smudge and Bob - Unthinkable, yet they are gone.
Sure, they are always going to be reasons you feel like you can't stay on Catster, but my opinion is not going to change on this issue.
Leave Catster if you want . . . . . just leave the cat's page intact before you go!

I'm sure a lot of you know about our pal, Harrison. He is Kitty Pryde's sister, and unfortunately, they do not get along. I do know something about not getting along with a brother, but Harrison and Kitty Pryde's situation is much worse than my relationship with Newman.
After help from the Cat Daddy, Jackson Galaxy, and advice from another cat behaviorist, it seems that the best situation for Harrison would be to live in a home without another cat.
You can read the latest in his recent diary entry.
Now here is where we all can play a part in helping Harrison - besides purring - which he needs (as well as purrs for his Mom who dearly loves him and Kitty Pryde).
Most of us have cats or we wouldn't be on Catster. But we all have friends and family . . . . . and maybe some of them don't have cats. Or maybe they aren't on Catster, but they had a cat and the cat has journeyed to the bridge. There are lots of situations where someone is lonely for another cat.
We know what Harrison's Mom is going through because we had a similar situation with Vivien. It broke our heart to find another home for her, but she is doing so much better in her new surroundings. We need that same miracle for Harrison!
Harrison lives in California, but don't let that stop you if you don't live in California! There is an entire network of people willing to transport cats all over the country, and if Harrison finds a home somewhere outside California, we know there are people who would help get him there!
You can also help by spreading the word in your diary. We all have a different set of Catster pals, and all it takes is one cat reading your diary who might not read my diary!
Let's do what we can to help Harrison - he deserves it!

Wowza, there is a lot to celebrate today! We're getting ready to watch the running of the horses for the 138th Kentucky Derby. Of course, we'll have to watch Mawmee cry when they play My Old Kentucky Home - it's a tradition no matter where she lives - MOL!
In looking through the horses this year, I'm thinking Alpha will be my pick - for obvious reasons!
The other cats in the house are picking these horses to win:
Newman - Daddy Nose Best, but he prefers to call the horse DD Nose Best
Gleek - Sabercat because he thinks he is a big tiger!
Violet - Take Charge Indy because the jockey is Calvin Borel, and Calvin always picked the horse that this jockey rides!
Inky - Hansen because he thought I said handsome when I was reading the names of the horses to him. *rolls eyes* I told him what a dope he is, but he said he also likes the horse because he is pretty.
Good luck to all the horses - we always purr that no horse gets hurt during the race!

What a surprise I had this morning to see that I have been chosen once again as a diary pick. How could the Diary Gal resist that long list of handsome dreamboats? Well, she couldn't!
Thank you to my friends who have pmailed me, sent me lovely pictures, and rosettes. I appreciate it very much!
I also appreciate all the pawsome comments you've left this past month on my dreamboat diary entries. I know the dreamboats appreciate it too.
There are so many beautiful and interesting looking kitties on Catster, so take some time to enjoy their photos. It's also fun to go to your friends' pages and read their bio information - on how they came to their forever home. So many of us were strays and living in bad situations, so we have a lot to be thankful for, and I hope that lots of stray cats find wonderful homes in 2012!

Well, the time has come to name my last dreamboat for this year. Would you believe I've already started gathering names for next year's list? There are so many handsome mancats on Catster, and if you didn't get chosen this year, don't give up hope . . . . . I'll be adding to my list next year!
Did you figure out from my fini clue the identity of Dreamboat #80? It is Finnegan - better known as Finney!
Any girlcat that is friends with Finney knows that his best feature is his extra floofy tail! Not only is his tail floofy, his entire body is one big ball of floof!
His Mom couldn't resist his adorableness as a kitten. At an early age, Finney showed signs of sleeping in creative positions! He continues the tradition, and one look through his photo album and you'll discover that he loves to snooze! I did a big MOL when I saw this picture.
I love Finney's super pink nose and ears, and of course, his beautiful golden eyes.
He is known as the Butterscotch King which I find very attractive. I also love his ginormous paws! He is very photogenic, and while you might have missed the opportunity to kiss him on Valentine's Day, Finney reminds us that he is Irish, so you can kiss him on St. Patrick's Day!
Congratulations, Finney, on being Dreamboat #80!

Today's dreamboat family already has one dreamy mancat on my list, so I thought it was time to add the three remaining handsome boys. They are probably the most photogenic cats on Catster, and now you know who I'm talking about!
Meet Dreamboat #79a - Nike! Nike and his Dreamboat #25 brother, Reebok, were found as little kittens. We've all heard a similar story to this - they were brought to their home, cleaned up, and were going to be fostered until a permanent home could be found. MOL - we've been there, done that! Of course, we know they had already found their forever home the minute they came through the door!
The brothers are very difficult to tell apart, and I love the cute white markings on their backs! Nike is a snappy dresser, with beautiful eyes, and a nice full figure - all the better for hugging! Sometimes Nike puts his butt in the air like he just doesn't care, but I think he is one adorable sweetheart! Congratulations, Sneaker Boy, you're now Dreamboat #79a! Get ready for the swooning girls when they take a look at you!
Dreamaboat #79b is Riley! Riley is the oldest mancat in the family, and according to his Mom, he is a real charmer! I think he is so handsome and I love his black outlined bottom lip! His eyes are a beautiful shade of green, and I'm impressed that he is pals with his ginormous dog brother (who would be a Dog Dreamboat if I had a list like that)~!
I think all girlcats will agree that Riley's pink nose is purrfect! I also like dreamboats who take charge and rule the roost! Be sure to check out all of his funny pictures, and you'll agree that he has the life or Riley! Congratulations, Riley, on being Dreamboat #79b!
Dreamboat #79c is Enzo! Enzo is another rescued kitty - we all remember when he and his siblings were found in a neighbor's yard. He was the smart one in the group who came out of the bushes first, and found his pawsome forever home. One look at how cute he was as a kitten, and there was no doubt he would grow up into the handsome mancat with the tan spot on his nose! I love Enzo's dark grey stripes and forehead M!
Enzo is also a sharp dresser who enjoys an occasional roll in the nip! I almost fainted when I saw this picture of Enzo - isn't his tummy dreamy?
Enzo thinks he is handsome, and so do we! Congratulations, Enzo, on being Dreamboat #79c!
I hope you'll stop by and become pals with these three dreamboats and their family if you aren't already! Tomorrow will be my last dreamboat, and this year's list will be fini - which is a hint for tomorrow!

I'm glad the Diary Gal is enjoying reading about my Dreamboats this year! Thank you for all the congrats on my diary pick today!
And now, it's time to enjoy another dreamboat family. The H.o.H., or should I say, Captain of this family is already a dreamboat, and they have an Angel Dreamboat in the family too, so it is only fitting that the other handsome mancats in the family get added to my list.
Meet Dreamboat #78a - Sparkman! We all know Sparkman by his fun nickname - Spudman - the potato loving, sock eating handsome mancat!
Of course, we all fell in love with Sparkman when he looked like this, and he has grown up very nicely! I particularly love his striking facial markings, and his very nice fangs!
You might not realize that not only is Sparkman a Scallywag on the Captain's ship, he is also a Superhero. I think I'll give him the name - Veggieman as he likes cucumber skins, broccoli, spinach, purple lettuce, and green beans!
Sparkman is the most expensive cat on his ship as he has had surgeries to remove everything from socks to pieces of blankets, and who knows what else was found in his belly. He is drawn to rubberbands, twist ties, and yarn, like butter is drawn to a potato!
We'll definitely file Sparkman under cute, and under fun too! Congratulations, Sparky, on being Dreamboat #78a!
Dreamboat #78b is Moose! Moose is a super fine looking mancat with gorgeous green eyes, and beautiful gray fur with stripes. The girlcats are going to swoon when they take a look at this picture of Moose!
Moose is a very brave mancat who is not afraid of snow, Santa, or outdoor crawly things!
Moose, or Beanie Butt as he is affectionately called, has some very interesting yoga moves - as you can see here, here, and my favorite, here!
He is able to pick locks which I know comes in handy! I like that he enjoys an occasional spot of tea - so dignified! Moose is probably best known for his unique and interesting style of speech. You'll have to be sure to corral Moose so you can enjoy his diary entries! Congratulations, Moose, on being Dreamboat #78b!
Dreamboat #78c is the newest shipmate - meet Purrseus! Purrseus is just a young mancat, but I think with all the other dreamboats in the family, he will learn the ropes with no trouble! Besides, how could I resist a mancat that looks this good in a boa!
He has stunning features from his very fluffy fur to his beautiful eyes and his adorable cheeks!
What girlcat isn't going to melt when I tell you that Purrseus puts his paws around his Mom's neck and purrs loudly? I can just hear the sweet things he purrs . . . . .
Purrseus has the most unique nicknames: Toki, New Guy, Fuzz Bucket, Flufferpants, Porcupine, Wolverine, Carpet Troll. I'd love to hear the story behind some of these nicknames!
Purrseus enjoys chillaxin with his brother, joking around, and also spending time at sea.

My two dreamboats today could have easily fit into my dreamboat-in-training category because of their age, but I decided that they are mature enough to go straight to the dreamboat status.
Meet Dreamboat #77a - Skippy Skipster! First, let's all check out Skippy as a young kitten - too adorable for words!
I always feel happy when I say Skippy's name - something about the Skipster part that makes me smile! Skippy has big golden eyes and the cutest nose. Skippy also has a beautiful white shirt and paws and the most interesting stripes on his legs!
If I remember correctly, I think that this picture of Skippy was entered in the now defunct World's Coolest Contest where I remember thinking he was so adorable!
I like that Skippy protects his family when he isn't busy rolling in catnip!
Dreamboat #77b is Riley! Riley is a beautiful white mancat with big golden eyes and pretty pinkish colored ears! Riley has a a favorite bear that he kneads, and you must check out his video to see him in action. I made sure to get a message to Calvin at the bridge to have him invite Riley to the I Knead You group!
When Riley isn't busy at the computer on Catster, he likes to chillax on his cat tree, or spend time in the bathroom!
I noticed that Riley is the H.o.H. at his house, and nothing quite says I can do whatever I want than this picture! I'm sure he isn't supposed to be on the table, but that is why Riley is a Dreamboat - rules don't apply! He also exhibits a lot of bravery!
Riley loves his Mommy who he has been with since he was a little kitten, and he also loves his brother!
Both Skippy and Riley are featured in Newman's Poopology e-book, so they are famous in more ways than one! Congratulations, Skippy Skipster and Riley!
