No so good news from the Vet

Well yesterday I went to the vet for some senior bloodwork.(So not my idea) See I'm a really old guy, they think I'm probably 15 or so. And I'm really skinny and I don't gain weight despite eating like a small army. So today we got most of the results back and they are not good. I am in the begining stages of Kidney failure. I'm feeling ok, I'm perky and happy most of the time. I still give the peoples my royal decrees. You know "feed Me NOW" "scratch me here" "why is that annoying kid in my spot?" etc.. So overall things are still pretty good. I do now have special kidney wet food, but it's pretty good stuff. We are going to take things day to day. The peoples know my time is limited, just not how limited. So I'm going to enjoy myself. I even wore a t-shirt today. I usually am not into clothes but I figured why not? I asked them to put it on me and I liked it.(Zelda & Tater already had clothes on and I was checkin' their's out.) I am all nice and toasty. An old dude needs to be toasty. Thank you to folks who already sent prezzies and mails. I appreciate everything.

Wow a DDPagain

Wow I'm a DDP again! It is so nice to have my Royal status appreciated. Thank you to all of you who have sent rosies, pawmails, friend requests and well wishes for my recent accomplishments of COTD and THE DDP and now a ddp. I love you all and am very thankful for all my friends.

So far my day has been ok. I had Turkey and Giblets for breakfast with a small side dish of whitefish & tuna. NUM NUM! Then I went back to bed. Meowmy had a headache this morning so I napped with her. The weather today stinks. It is cool and gray and rainy. Yesterday was beautiful and sunny and it hit 80! We had the windows open and the porch to go onto. Grammy brought us some fresh nip inside and it was fab! Today, no windows, no porch and no nip. PFFFT! on the weather. I think I will just nap all day till dinner time.

WOW COTD!

Holy Cat!!
I'm the Cat of the day! This is really pawsome. i am so glad that my Royal status is finally being recognized. Thanks to all my friends for the prezzies, comments and pawmails.

My day started out slow. As is meowmy is so slow getting my breakfast, geesh. I should be first and the others should just wait. I did however agree with the selection. I had Tilapia appetizer with a salmon & beef friskies for the entree. It was NUMMY!!

After breakfast I assumed my customary spot on the top perch for my morning nap. Sometimes I watch the birdies and squirrels first but today it was raining hard so no pre-nap entertainments.

I am doing better than last I wrote. I am eating really well now. Sometimes I make meowmy feed me 4 times or more a day. My coat is really shiny again and I have a good bit of energy. My strength is coming back too. I am still really skinny. I am having trouble putting the weight back on despite all the food I'm gobbling down. I even crunch on the kibble some too. My mouth is feeling a whole lot better! Can't remeber if i told you all this , but my Vet thinks I am a lot older than Meowmy realized. My age was assumed to be correct from the shelter i came from but who knows. My vet thinks I may be as old as 15! That's twice as old as we thought I was. No wonder I am such a fuddy duddy sometimes. Those young ones can be so annoying.

I want to thank all my wonderpurr friends for the comments, prezzies, well wishes, paw-mails and friend requests. you are all too kind. I didn't get to write in my diary yesterday as Meowmy wasn't feeling the best. She was better today and went to work. All my family are doing well tonight. I've been eating like piggy. So has Trooper. Kahless is still fussing about his food, he is just not into it at all. Meowmy got him some new dry and is going to check with the vet to see if he can have it. Hopefully he can and will like it. My bro Harley has the sniffles, he has feline Herpes, so he gets the 'snots' from time to time. nothing really to worry about, just gross and annoying for him. We will be going to pick up Onyx's ashes on Friday. I'm sure Meowmy and Grammy will have leaking eyes when they get home. But she will be back with her family where she belongs, so I think that will make them feel a little better in the end. I hope all my friends are well and happy.

Royal Decree

Today someone finally recognized my Greatness(the Diary Gal).

I'm a DDP. As The Pharoh Romeo Monroe the Great I decree this to be one of my best days recently, right up there with being a dreamboat!
I was given a wonderful breakfast with 2 entrees. I had fancy feast beef with gravy and friskies salmon and beef. They were nummy! I licked all the gravy off first then ate the meat. Then Meowmy gave all of us some dry Before Grain chicken. It is de-lic-i-ous! Meowmy says it's a treat because it is a little expensive. I say I am worth it. She also got ME some Orijen dry chicken flavor food to try. It is 80% meat by weight per bag. I love it. She is hoping that will help me gain some of my weight back. I am gaining slowly and my coat is all shiny and silky again. I'm feeling more myself too. I'm getting demanding, as a Pharoh should be.

My family is doing ok. Kahless is taking his meds and seems to be ok. He doesn't care for his special food though. Trooper is still eating his food mixed with water into a real soupy concoction. If he tries to eat anything chunky it hurts his mouth. He is eating well though and even asks for extras sometimes.
The rest are getting back to normal after losing Onyx. We all moped around for a few days but each day we play more and seem to be more normal. Meowmy and Grammy still have moments of sadness but that is to be expected. her ashes aren't home yet. There will be more tears then, but also relief that she will be home.
Yesterday the weather was great and Grammy had the windows open. I laid on the big perch in the sun and smelled the fresh air. Today is cooler so no open windows.

Dreamboat Honors

The Beautiful and Fabulous Ms.Samoa has bestowed upon me the Title of Dreamboat #40c. Thank you lovely lady for such a high honor.
I share in this great honor with 3 of my siblings too. Trooper is Dreamboat #40b, Zeeke is Dreamboat #40a and Kahless is Dreamboat #40D.

I am feeling so much better than I did a few weeks ago. My teeth are feeling better and I'm eating like a pig. I've even gained back .9 #'s. It doesn't seem like a lot but it is a positive. I had become scrawny.

My sibling Trooper is feeling better too. Zeeke is feeling fine too. Brother Kahless however is not well. He got to spend the night at the Vets with Kathy-ter to try to get rid of that crystal chick. He should come home tommorrow if all goes well.

I hope this night treats all my friends well and that all the kitties in Japan are safe.

My vet visit.

Well I went to the VETS yesterday. I gained a whole pound. This surprised Meowmy a lot since she is always saying I'm too boney. She tought I might have lost a little. Wrong, the doc said I'm purrfect!! Also she gave me a medical diagnosis of Handsome!!! So... I'm purrfectly Handsome according to medical science!!! MOL MOL! I also got my rabies shot which was not what I would call purrfect. My neice Zelda acoompanied me to the Vets too. I'll let her give her side of the story in her diary.
Bad news is Trooper, my brofur, ended up at the vets today. He wasn't fellin good, but he'll be ok. He'll give you the details himself.

Today is my Birthday.

Well, Today is my birthday. Guess how it started out. LATE!!!
Meowmy kept hitting the snooze button and my breakfast was late. On my birthday!!! This is no way to treat a royal person.
I did get extra lovies and some purrsonal time at the computer with meowmy though. We've never done that before. I'm not usually a snuggler, but I felt like snuggling today. I also got some chicken at dinner as well as my usual dinner. I got some really nice rosies from friends too. Of course Mishka did her best to cuddle up to me and keep me warm while I napped today too. That girl just worships me!(she should I am the Pharaoh of this house.) So it was a pretty nice day even if it started out late.

I do have to go to the vets on Wednesday for my annual exam and Rabies shot. I am NOT looking forward to that. I also am not looking forward to the pictures I'll have to participate in on Monday or Tuesday. Meowmy and Grammy are planning on getting our pictures done soon so they can take pics of all of our cuteness for them to fawn over. Personally I could do without the humiliation. As you can see from my main pic and page I identify strongly with the Grinch.

A day on my Throne

Hello,

Thank you for picking me for a daily Diary pick. And thanx for picking Zelda for dairy of the day. She's not too bad for a kitten--- She worships me as the GOD that I am.

My day has started off late! Meowmy was late with my breakfast!!!!!!!

This is unacceptable. A Pharoh should never have to wait for his breakfast!!!!!!! That being said I did Get extra and I got my special dry food that only I get. Now I am atop the highest perch as befits my station as supreme ruler and I am going to take a 10-12 hour nap.
